Soil moisture sensor.
The soil moisture sensor is a device - simple sensor to determine the moisture of the soil in which it is submerged. It will inform you about under or over watering your home or garden plants. Between two electrodes creates a small voltage. If the ground is dry, the resistance is large and the current will be less. If the ground is wet-The resistance is smaller, the current is slightly higher. According to the final analog signal, it can measure the degree of humidity.
The sensor in operation consumes a current of approximately 35 Ma. Supply voltage 3.3-5. The signal returned when fed from 5:0-4.2. After displaying these values in a 10-bit range, you can use the following methods:
0-300: dry soil
300-700: moist land
700-950: Sensor in water
