Line follower sensor
Optoreflective module, mounted on its printed circuit with its minimum system ready to deliver digital signals, so it is not necessary to use an analog - digital converter to read its signal or a comparator to adjust the signal output.
The QRE1113 IR reflectance sensor board is composed of two parts: an IR emitting LED and an IR sensitive phototransistor. When you apply power to the VCC and GND pins, the IR LED inside the sensor will light up. A resistor is on board and is placed in series with the LED to limit the current. The output of the phototransistor is tied to a 10nF capacitor. The faster the capacitor discharges, the more reflective the surface is. White surfaces reflect more light than black, so when pointed at a white surface, the capacitor discharges faster than when pointed at a black surface. It can be used on 3.3 or 5.5 systems.
These sensors are widely used in applications such as line followers, as they can help detect the color of the line. The width of the sensor output pulse must be read, which changes depending on whether it is on the line or not.
The plate also has a single mounting hole if you want to screw it into something.
