Photo switch module.
The KY-010 photoswitch module is a switch that will activate a signal when light is blocked between the sensor gap. This module consists of an optical emitter/detector and 3 male header pins on the front. On the back there are two resistors of 1kΩ and 33Ω.
The sensor uses a beam of light between the emitter and the detector to check if the path between them is being blocked by an opaque object.
Commonly used with AF120 encoder wheel, to measure speed or angle.
This module is suitable for various electronic platforms such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32 and others.
